(1) The board may, upon payment of the fee prescribed under section 54-2107 , Idaho Code, license without the clinical competency test (CCT) any person who is a diplomate with current certification from a specialty board approved by the American veterinary medical association. The applicant shall fulfill all requirements for licensure with the exception of a passing score on the clinical competency test (CCT) and shall provide verification of a current certification from a specialty board approved by the American veterinary medical association. The veterinary practice of any person who is licensed pursuant to this subsection is limited to referrals in the specialty in which the person is board certified. (2) After November 1, 2000, the board may, upon payment of the fee prescribed under section 54-2107 , Idaho Code, license without the clinical competency test (CCT) any person who has taken their national examinations prior to this date and has not taken and passed the CCT but has fulfilled, in addition to the other requirements for licensure, the requirements of section 54-2107 (5), Idaho Code. (3) The board may require a personal interview of any or all applicants under this section.
