(a) A limited liability partnership may change its registered agent, or the address of its registered agent, by filing with the office of the secretary of state a statement of change of registered agent, or by specifying in its annual report the change of registered agent or new street address of registered agent. (b) A registered agent may resign as the registered agent for a limited liability partnership by filing with the secretary of state a statement of resignation of registered agent. The secretary of state shall send notice of the resignation to any partner of the limited liability partnership. The resignation shall be effective thirty (30) days after filing of the notice of resignation.
