(1) The secretary of state shall appoint in and for the state of Idaho as many notaries public as he shall deem necessary. (2) Each notary public so appointed shall serve for a term of six (6) years except as otherwise provided in this chapter. (3) A notary public may be reappointed upon submission of a new application not earlier than ninety (90) days prior to the expiration of his term.
