No person or persons engaged in underground mine rescue or recovery work who, in good faith, render(s) emergency care, rescue, assistance or recovery services at the scene of any emergency in a mine in this state, shall be liable for any civil damages as a result of any act or omission by such person(s) in rendering such emergency care, rescue, assistance or recovery service. Neither the employer nor a labor organization which represents any person(s) entitled to the immunity provided in this act shall be liable for any civil damages as a result of any act or omission of any person(s) entitled to such immunity.
