(1) An emergency medical services fee of one dollar and twenty-five cents ($1.25) shall be collected in addition to each motor vehicle registration fee amount collected under the provisions of this chapter, with the exception of those vehicles proportionally registered under section 49-435 , Idaho Code. Twenty-five cents (25¢) of the fee shall be retained by the county of residence for use in funding local emergency medical service costs. One dollar ($1.00) of the fee shall be transmitted to the state treasurer for deposit in the emergency medical services fund established in section 56-1018 , Idaho Code. (2) For vehicles registered under the provisions of section 49-402B , Idaho Code, the fee shall be two dollars and fifty cents ($2.50). Fifty cents (50¢) of the fee shall be retained by the county of residence for use in funding local emergency medical services costs. Two dollars ($2.00) of the fee shall be transmitted to the state treasurer for deposit in the emergency medical services fund established in section 56-1018 , Idaho Code.
