The provisions of this chapter shall be known as the "Idaho Motor Vehicle Service Contract Act." This act shall apply to all motor vehicle service contracts offered for sale in the state by any person other than the motor vehicle manufacturer and shall not apply to the customary and usual performance guarantees or warranties offered at no additional charge by motor vehicle manufacturers in connection with the sale of motor vehicles.
