(1) The Idaho council on domestic violence and victim assistance is hereby established. The council shall be the advisory body for programs and services affecting victims of domestic violence and other crimes in Idaho. (2) For budgetary purposes and for administrative support purposes, the council shall be assigned, by the governor, to a department or office within the state government.
