The board may award grants, in accordance with the procedures and criteria in this chapter, to community health centers for the purpose of improving access to health care services. (1) Individual grant awards will be limited to a total of five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) for direct and indirect costs, per year. (2) No project may be funded for more than a total of one (1) year. (3) In addition to other uses as approved by the board, funds awarded under a grant may be used for the purchase, construction, renovation or improvement of real property or for projects which are solely or predominantly designed for the purchase of equipment, including information technology and electronic health records.
