Any person who shall fail to comply with the provisions of this act shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall be punished by a fine not exceeding one hundred dollars ($100) or by imprisonment not exceeding thirty (30) days, or both, for the first offense, and double such fine and imprisonment for each subsequent conviction hereunder.
