Each bond shall be signed by the chairman of the board of trustees and countersigned by the clerk; and the seal of the district, if it has a seal, shall be attached. All bonds shall be recorded by the treasurer of the district who shall keep record of the number, amount and status of the issue, together with the name of the successful purchaser therefor.
