§486-104 Secondary standards and equipment. The State shall supply secondary standards and other equipment as is necessary to carry out the provisions of this chapter. These standards shall be verified upon their initial receipt and at least once a year thereafter by comparison with: (1) The state standards; or (2) Upon written authorization of the administrator, suitable standards of another laboratory that is recognized or accredited by the National Institute of Standards and Technology as capable of providing traceable measurements at the level of accuracy and precision necessary to verify the secondary standards and equipment.
