[§451K-6] Licensure requirements. The director shall adopt rules as deemed necessary for the licensure of genetic counselors to protect public health and safety and may consider the following factors as evidence in determining whether an applicant is qualified to be licensed: (1) Board-certification by the American Board of Genetic Counseling or its equivalent; and (2) A report of any disciplinary action or rejection of license applications or renewals relating to genetic counseling practice taken against the applicant in another jurisdiction.
