§40-10 Destruction of vouchers, etc. At the end of each fiscal year, the comptroller, with the approval of the lieutenant governor and the attorney general of the State, may destroy all vouchers, documents, and other records or papers on file with the comptroller or kept in the comptroller's department for a period of more than six years (exclusive of permanent records) which in the comptroller's opinion are no longer of any use or value.
