License fees; effect of nonpayment of checks submitted as fee

(a) The division director, at the time an application for licensure is submitted, shall collect from an applicant a fee in an amount established by the commission. The commission may establish separate schedules of fees for such licenses depending on whether the applicant begins to do business prior to or after the issuance of any such license. (b) After the issuance of the first license to an applicant, such license shall cover the remaining period of the biennium. (c) The auctioneer's biennial license fee shall be an amount established by the commission and the apprentice auctioneer's biennial license fee shall be an amount established by the commission. This Code section shall not obviate any other fees or conditions required to maintain such license in accordance with this chapter. (d) Any check presented to the division director as a fee for either an original or renewal license which is returned unpaid shall be cause for revocation or denial of a license. (e) Notwithstanding any other fee prescribed in this chapter, a company shall be required to pay registration and renewal fees in an amount established by the commission. Amended by 2010 Ga.
