Recovery of damages; class actions

(a) Any person who suffers injury or damages as a result of acts or practices in violation of this chapter may bring an action against the charitable organization or paid solicitor engaged in such acts or practices. The person may recover such general damages sustained as a result of such acts or practices. Exemplary damages and attorney's fees may be awarded in cases of intentional violations of this chapter. (b) Any person entitled to bring an action under this chapter may institute a class action pursuant to Code Section 9-11-23 for the recovery of damages.
