Role of law enforcement agencies

(a) A law enforcement agency that has entered into a co-responder partnership with a community service board shall designate one or more peace officers to participate as officer team members in a co-responder team. (b) A law enforcement agency that has not entered into a co-responder partnership with a community service board shall designate one peace officer to serve as the primary point of contact with the community service board.
