Appointment of director; power and duties

(a) The Governor shall appoint a director of the council who shall serve at the pleasure of the Governor. (b) The director may contract with other agencies, public and private, or persons as the director deems necessary for the rendering and affording of such services, facilities, studies, research, and reports to the council as will best assist it to carry out its duties and responsibilities. (c) The director may employ such other professional, technical, and clerical personnel as deemed necessary to carry out the purposes of this chapter.
