Responsible Fatherhood Month

(1) The Legislature designates the month of June as “Responsible Fatherhood Month” to recognize the importance of fathers in their children’s lives, how fathers contribute to their children’s safety and stability, and the direct link between positive father involvement and child well-being. (2) The Department of Children and Families, the Department of Health, local governments, and other agencies are encouraged to sponsor events to promote awareness of responsible fatherhood engagement and the contributions fathers make in the lives of their children.
