Employment information

(1) It is not unlawful for any person to provide employment information to a financial institution or a financial institution regulatory agency, or to any person providing employment information to a financial institution or a financial institution regulatory agency, about an employee’s, or former employee’s, known or suspected involvement in a violation of any state or federal law, rule, or regulation which has been reported to state or federal authorities. (2) A person is not civilly liable for providing such employment information unless the information provided is false and the person providing the information does so with reckless disregard for the truth.
