Florida Code § 628.061

Investigation of proposed organization

In connection with any proposal to organize or incorporate a domestic insurer, the office shall make an investigation of: (1) The character, reputation, financial standing, and motives of the organizers, incorporators, and subscribers organizing the proposed insurer or any attorney in fact. (2) The character, financial responsibility, insurance experience, and business qualifications of its proposed officers, members of its subscribers’ advisory committee, or officers of its attorney in fact. (3) The character, financial responsibility, business experience, and standing of the proposed stockholders and directors, including the stockholders and directors of any attorney in fact.
