Penalties against title insurers for violations by persons or entities not licensed

A title insurer is subject to the penalties in ss. 624.418(2) and 624.4211 for any violation of a lawful order or rule of the office or commission, or for any violation of this code, committed by: (1) A person, firm, association, corporation, cooperative, joint-stock company, or other legal entity not licensed under this part when issuing and countersigning commitments or policies of title insurance on behalf of the title insurer. (2) An attorney when issuing and countersigning commitments or policies of title insurance on behalf of the title insurer.
