(1) No insurer shall issue policies, certificates, or contracts to policyholders or members providing for the grouping of its policyholders or members into groups and divisions, classified according to age, and providing for payment of contingent endowment benefits, by whatever name called, from special funds created for such purpose to the oldest member in seniority of the group or division, or under any other similar plan. (2) No insurer shall issue policies containing annual endowments or other specialty-type policies such as founder’s policies or coupon-bearing policies. The commission shall, by rule, define such prohibited policies. (3) The office shall revoke the certificate of authority of any insurer which violates this section.
