Registration required; purpose

(1) Beginning August 1, 2013, an individual may not act as, offer to act as, or advertise any service as a navigator unless registered with the department under this part. (2) The purpose of registration is to identify qualified individuals to assist the insurance-buying public in selecting a qualified health plan through an exchange by providing fair, accurate, and impartial information regarding qualified health plans and the availability of premium tax credits and cost-sharing reductions for such plans, and to protect the public from unauthorized activities or conduct.
