(1) A licensed viatical settlement provider may not use any person to perform the functions of a viatical settlement broker as defined in this act unless such person holds a current, valid life agent license and has appointed himself or herself in conformance with this chapter. (2) A viatical settlement broker may not use any person to perform the functions of a viatical settlement provider as defined in this act unless such person holds a current, valid license as a viatical settlement provider. (3) A person may not operate as a life expectancy provider unless such person is registered as a life expectancy provider pursuant to this act. (4) A viatical settlement provider, viatical settlement broker, or any other person in the business of viatical settlements may not obtain life expectancies from a person who is not registered as a life expectancy provider pursuant to this act.
