Life insurance; discrimination on basis of sickle

cell trait prohibited. — (1) No insurer authorized to transact insurance in this state shall refuse to issue and deliver any policy of life insurance solely because the person to be insured has the sickle-cell trait. (2) No life insurance policy issued and delivered in this state shall carry a higher premium rate or charge solely because the person to be insured has the sickle-cell trait.
