“Health agent” defined

(1) A “health agent” is any person appointed as agent by an insurer to solicit applications for or to negotiate and effectuate contracts of health insurance, as such insurance is defined in s. 624.603. (2) Any person who acts for an insurer, or on behalf of a licensed representative of an insurer, to solicit applications for or to negotiate and effectuate health insurance contracts, whether or not he or she is appointed as an agent, subagent, or canvasser or by any other title, shall be deemed to be a health agent and shall be qualified, licensed, and appointed as a health agent.
