Referral of criminal violations

If, during an investigation or examination, the office has reason to believe that any criminal law of this state has or may have been violated, the office shall refer any relevant records and information to the Division of Criminal Investigations, state or federal law enforcement, or prosecutorial agencies, as applicable, and shall provide investigative assistance to those agencies as required.
