Florida Code § 589.21

Management to be for public interest

All state forests and reforestation projects mentioned in this chapter shall be managed and administered by the Florida Forest Service in the interests of the public. If the public interests are not already safeguarded and clearly defined by law or by regulations adopted by the state agencies authorized by law to administer such lands, or in the papers formally transferring said projects to the Florida Forest Service for administration, then, and in that event, the Florida Forest Service may define the purpose of said project. Such definition of purposes shall be construed to have the authority of law.
