(1) The director of the Division of Agricultural Environmental Services shall be appointed by the commissioner and shall serve at the commissioner’s pleasure. (2) The director shall supervise, direct, and coordinate the activities of the division and enforce this chapter and chapters 388, 482, 487, 501, 504, 531, 576, 578, and 580 and any other chapter necessary to carry out the responsibilities of the division.
