(1) The department shall prescribe, by rule, the specifications for a sign to be posted by all registered motor vehicle repair shops in a manner conspicuous to the public. The sign shall contain the toll-free telephone number of the department for consumer information and assistance and shall inform customers that they may request, at the time the work order is taken, the return or inspection of all parts that have been replaced during the motor vehicle repair. (2) All motor vehicle repair shops required to register under the provisions of this part must include the registration number from the certificate issued by the department in any advertisements, announcements, or listings relating to motor vehicle repair which are placed in a newspaper, magazine, or directory.
