(1) Notwithstanding any provision of s. 120.60 to the contrary, the commission may issue a temporary occupational license upon the receipt of a complete application from the applicant and a determination that the applicant has not been convicted of or had adjudication withheld on any disqualifying criminal offense. The temporary occupational license remains valid until such time as the commission grants an occupational license or notifies the applicant of its intended decision to deny the applicant a license pursuant to the provisions of s. 120.60. The commission shall adopt rules to administer this subsection. However, not more than one temporary license may be issued for any person in any year. (2) A temporary license issued under this section is nontransferable.
