Withdrawal from compact; impact on force and effect

(1) Any party state may withdraw from this compact by enacting a statute repealing this compact, but such a withdrawal becomes effective only when the head of the executive branch of the withdrawing party state has given written notice of the withdrawal to the heads of the executive branch of all other party states. (2) If, as a result of withdrawals, participation in this compact decreases to fewer than three party states, this compact shall no longer be in force and effect until participation in this compact increases to three or more party states.
