The following property of a guest is exempt from distress and sale under this chapter: (1) From final distress and sale: clothing and items essential to the health and safety of the guest. (2) From prejudgment writ of distress: clothing, items essential to the health and safety of the guest, and any tools of the guest’s trade or profession, business papers, or other items directly related to such trade or profession.
