(1) The Board of Opticianry is created within the Department of Health and shall consist of seven members to be appointed by the Governor and confirmed by the Senate. (2) Five members of the board must be licensed opticians. The remaining two members must be residents of the state who never have been licensed as opticians and who are in no way connected with the practice of opticianry. At least one member of the board must be 60 years of age or older. (3) Members shall be appointed for terms of 4 years.
