Transitional child care

In order to assist former welfare transition program participants and individuals who have been redirected through up-front diversion in obtaining employment, continuing to be employed, and improving their employment prospects, transitional child care is available for up to 2 years: (1) To a former program participant who is no longer receiving temporary cash assistance and who is employed or is actively seeking employment if his or her income does not exceed 200 percent of the federal poverty level at any time during that 2-year period. (2) To an individual who has been redirected through up-front diversion and who is employed or is actively seeking employment if his or her income does not exceed 200 percent of the federal poverty level at any time during that 2-year period.
