Florida Code § 332.136

Sarasota Manatee Airport Authority; airport pilot program

(1) There is established at the Sarasota Manatee Airport Authority an airport pilot program. The purpose of the pilot program is to determine the long-term feasibility of alternative airport permitting procedures, such as those provided in ss. 553.80, 1013.30, 1013.33, and 1013.371. (2) The department shall adopt rules as necessary to implement the pilot program. (3) By December 1, 2027, the department shall submit recommendations to the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives about how to expand the pilot program to additional airports, amend the pilot program to increase its effectiveness, or terminate the pilot program. (4) This section shall stand repealed on June 30, 2028, unless reviewed and saved from appeal through reenactment by the Legislature.
