Florida Code § 330.35

Airport zoning protection

(1) Nothing in ss. 330.29-330.39 shall be construed to limit any right, power, or authority of the state or a political subdivision to regulate airport hazards by zoning. (2) Airports licensed for public use under the provisions of s. 330.30 are eligible for airport zoning protection, as prescribed in chapter 333. (3) The department is granted all powers conferred upon political subdivisions of this state by chapter 333 to regulate airport hazards at state-owned public airports. The procedure shall be to form a joint zoning board with the political subdivision of the state in which the state-owned public airport is located as prescribed in chapter 333.
