Florida Code § 298.59

Supervisors authorized to obtain consent of United States

In case the water control plan of any district organized and incorporated under this chapter and the improvement provided thereunder be of such nature as requires the permission or consent of the Government of the United States, or any department or officer of the Government of the United States, the board of supervisors of the district may obtain the required permission or consent of the Government of the United States or any proper officer or department thereof; and to that end the board of supervisors may bind the district to comply with any conditions that may be attached to such permission or consent, including the giving of any bond or other obligation for the faithful performance of such conditions.
