District Of Columbia Code § 1-819.02

Study of alternatives for financing Federal obligations.

As soon as practicable after August 5, 1997, the Secretary shall enter into a contract with an independent consultant to conduct a study of actuarial alternatives for financing the federal obligations assumed under this chapter, together with an analysis of the impact of each alternative on the federal budget. The Secretary and the District Government shall cooperate with the consultant and shall provide direct access to such information systems, records, documents, information, or data as will enable the consultant to conduct the study.
The contract entered into under subsection (a) of this section shall require the consultant to report the results of the study not later than 12 months after August 5, 1997.
Nothing in this section may be construed to affect any obligation of the Federal Government to make payments under this chapter.
