Receipt of rabbits from without the State; penalties

(a) No person shall receive from without the State any European or San Juan rabbit or any rabbit from an endemic state or area listed
as such by the United States Public Health Service.
(b) No person shall receive from without the State any rabbit which is not prohibited by subsection (a) of this section unless it is
accompanied by the certificate of the Secretary of the Department of Health and Social Services or the Secretary's designee or of an
equivalent agency of the place of origin recognized and approved by the Secretary of the Department of Health and Social Services or
the Secretary's designee to the effect that such rabbit is free from disease.
(c) Whoever violates this section shall be guilty of a class B environmental misdemeanor for each offense.
