Duties of county soil conservation district upon receipt of petition

The board of supervisors of the county soil conservation district shall, upon receipt of a petition for the formation of a tax ditch,
determine whether the petition is in the form set forth in § 4118 of this title and has been properly executed. If the petition is in the
prescribed form and has been properly executed, the board shall immediately notify the Division of Watershed Stewardship, and by virtue
of such action shall have made available to it the services of the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control to assist
it with the investigation concerning the possible formation of the tax ditch.
