Delaware Emergency Management Agency

(a) The Delaware Emergency Management Agency is hereby established and shall be responsible for the performance of all the powers,
duties and functions heretofore vested in the Division of Civil Defense, and its predecessor, the Department of Civil Defense pursuant
to Chapters 31 and 33 of Title 20.
(b) Notwithstanding any other provisions of Chapter 69 of this title to the contrary, the Delaware Emergency Management Agency
is authorized to utilize the United States Department of Defense, Defense Logistics Agency, Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, First/
Emergency Responder Equipment Purchase Program or such other similar program for the procurement of material from the Authorized
Equipment List of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's State Homeland Security Grant Program or such other similar program
with funds that may be provided by the U.S Department of Homeland Security, Office for Domestic Preparedness, to the extent that such
purchase is authorized by federal laws and/or regulations.
