(a) An individual authorized to act as an emergency interim successor may exercise the powers and discharge the duties of an office as authorized by this chapter only after an emergency event has occurred. (b) The General Assembly may, by concurrent resolution, terminate the authority of emergency interim successors to exercise the powers and discharge the duties of office as provided in this chapter.
