Objectives

The primary objective of this chapter is to regulate the commission of constables employed with various public and private entities
within the State and to ensure that proficiency standards for commissioned constables are maintained. In meeting its objectives, the
Constable Board of Examiners shall develop standards assuring professional competence, shall conduct and adjudicate at formal hearings,
shall promulgate rules and regulations, and shall impose sanctions where necessary and appropriate. The Board shall comply with the
Administrative Procedures Act under Chapter 101 of Title 29.
