(a) It is unlawful for an individual who is not licensed under this chapter to do any of the following: (1) Engage in the practice of social work. (2) Use in connection with that individual's name or otherwise assume or use any title or description that conveys or tends to convey the impression that the individual is qualified to practice social work. (b) An individual who violates subsection (a) of this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and subject to the following penalties: (1) For the first offense, a fine of not less than $500 nor more than $1,000 for each offense. (2) For each subsequent offense, a fine of not less than $1,000 nor more than $2,000 for each offense. (c) Superior Court has jurisdiction over all violations of this chapter. (d) [Repealed.]
