Safety glass — Equipment; definition

(a) No person shall operate, on any public highway or street in this State, any motor vehicle which is registered in the State and which
has been manufactured or assembled on or after July 1, 1937, unless such motor vehicle and/or any trailer drawn thereby is equipped with
safety glass, wherever glass is used in partitions, doors, windows or windshields.
(b) The term "safety glass" as used in this subchapter means glass so treated or combined with other materials as to reduce, in comparison
with ordinary sheet glass or plate glass, the likelihood of injury to persons by objects from external sources or by glass when the glass
is cracked or broken.
