(a) The Commissioner may appoint and may remove a Deputy. Before entering upon the duties of office the Deputy shall take and
file the constitutional oath of office.
(b) The Deputy may exercise such powers and discharge such duties as the Commissioner may authorize.
(c) The Deputy shall devote full time to the Department, shall not engage in any other insurance-related activity for fee or compensation
and the State shall pay a salary at the rate provided by law in full compensation for all services.
