The Department, in addition to the moneys which may be received from the sale of bonds and from the collection of tolls and other
revenues derived under this chapter, shall have authority to accept from any federal agency or other public or private body, or from any
other source, grants or contributions of money or property for or in aid of the construction, maintenance or operation of the toll crossings
maintained and operated by it or for or in aid of the construction, reconstruction or improvement of any highway which is authorized by
this title, or for the payment of its bonds.
