(a) A hospital that knowingly fails to provide information or adhere to standards, procedures, and deadlines under this subchapter, or a rule or regulation promulgated under this subchapter, may be assessed a civil penalty of up to $500,000. (b) [Repealed.] (c) An order under subsection (a) of this section may be issued only after a hospital has received notice and an opportunity to be heard by the Board.
