(a) Each institution shall adopt and implement a policy granting undergraduate course credit to incoming students for all advanced placement examinations upon which a student receives a score of 3 or higher for any similarly-correlated course offered by the institution. (b) The institution may require a score higher than 3 if the credit is to be used for meeting a course requirement for a particular major or program at the institution. If a student's score of 3 or higher on an advanced placement examination does not satisfy a course requirement for a particular major or program, the student shall receive course credit for that examination in an area outside of the student's particular major or program area. (c) Each institution must publish on its website a list determining the number and type of credits awarded for each advanced placement examination score available for institutional credit.
